SIN
The SIN function returns the sine of the input argument.
Syntax
SIN (argument)
Remarks
The table lists the valid input argument data types and the resulting output data types.

Input argument is in radians.
Output values range from -1.0 to +1.0.

Examples
SELECT ROUND(SIN(PI()));
 
The result is 0.
SELECT SIN(PI()+0.2);
 
The result is -0.19866933079506127.
SELECT SIN(30 * 3.14159265359/180);
SELECT SIN(RADIANS(30));
 
The result in either case is 0.5.
