Language Rules Reference

Describes the rules for using the Maintain Data language.

You can use the ibi™ WebFOCUS® App Studio Maintain Data language more effectively if you are familiar with its standards, including:

• When to use uppercase and lowercase characters.
• When to spell out keywords in full.
• How to name fields, functions, and other procedure components.
• Which words to avoid using as names of procedure components.
• What sort of components you can include in a procedure.
• How to continue a command onto additional lines.
• How to terminate command syntax.
• How to include comments in a procedure.

Data source descriptions and WebFOCUS® App Studio procedures are not part of the Maintain Data language and are subject to different rules.
