Setting Up ibi Data Migrator

Before you create data flows and process flows in ibi Data Migrator, the setup steps must be completed.

The ibi Data Migrator desktop interface is used to perform the major setup and administration tasks that are required before you can build flows. As a developer, you will probably perform most of these tasks yourself.

Some ibi Data Migrator setup tasks must be performed by a user designated as a server administrator, if that is a separate function in your organization. A server administrator may use the WebFOCUS Reporting Server browser interface or the ibi Data Migrator desktop interface to perform these tasks, which may vary somewhat based on how and where data is stored at your site.

You can use this chapter as a checklist to ensure that, regardless of the distribution of setup tasks at your site, all of the preparation steps are completed before your design work begins.
