Configuring Source Management and Setting Up Source Control for Git

Git is a free, open source Distributed Version Control System that allows multiple developers to work on the same remote repository while having a full copy of the remote repository locally. The Adapter for Git in ibi Data Migrator allows you to work on your local Git repositories and share files between the local and remote Git repositories.

Unlike other source control programs currently supported by ibi Data Migrator, Git can be used in both the WebFOCUS Reporting Server browser interface and in the ibi Data Migrator desktop interface. It is recommended that you consistently use only one source control program while working in an Application Directory, as this makes it easier for your development team.
