An End User is only entitled to utilize the Spotfire Products licensed to them under a valid and effective Order in accordance with the Spotfire EUA.

Each End User license entitlement grant provisioned by a Spotfire Customer admin must match the Spotfire Product and user quantity that is licensed by the Customer per the applicable Order.

Cloud Computing Environment

“Cloud Computing Environment” means a virtual, cloud-based networking solution managed/maintained by a third-party cloud service provider on behalf of Customer, including Cloud Machine Instances, and offered to the public for use and purchase.

As part of an active entitlement to the Products, Customer has the right to deploy that Software into a Cloud Computing Environment. Customer shall (i) ensure that any third-party provided Cloud Computing Environment does not grant access to the Software to any party except for Customer, (ii) be responsible for monitoring any third-party provider's hosting of Software, including compliance with the license terms and (iii) be responsible for any violations of the Agreement by a third-party provider.

Definitions

“Analysis Consumer” means a Named User with access to features that allow them to interact with an analysis or an analytic application as described in the documentation.

“Analysis Viewer” means a Named User with access to features that allow them to view an analysis as described in the documentation.

“Analytics User” means a Named User with access to Analytics features as defined in the documentation. 

“Automation Job” means a sequence of tasks executed by Spotfire Automation Services.

“Automation Task” means a task executed by Spotfire Automation Services.

“Core” means a processing unit within a CPU (Central Processing Unit) that carries out instructions and calculations.

“Data Science User” means a Named Users with access to Data Science features as defined in the documentation.

“Each” means unlimited usage of the Licensor Software subject to the terms on this page.

“External Analysis Consumer“ means an Analysis Consumer that is a third-party end user that is not employed by, or a service provider employee of, the Customer’s organization.

“External Analysis Viewer“ means an Analysis Viewer that is a third-party end user that is not employed by, or a service provider employee of, the Customer’s organization.

“Managed Asset” means an analysis, dataset, information link, information element or any other item stored in the Spotfire Library.

“Named User” means an identifiable individual, not necessarily named at the time of a license grant, designated by Customer to access the Product, regardless of whether or not the individual is actively using the Product at any given time. An individual shall only be designated as a Named User on the earlier of a) they are authorized by Customer to access the Product or b) once they have accessed the Product.

"ProdPlus" means a License Type for the Product which allows deployment in Production or Non-Production environments.

“Reporting Period” means each 12-month period within Customer’s subscription term.

“vCPU” means a virtual central processing unit of a Virtual Machine. It represents the ability to run one processor thread on a physical CPU.

License Usage

Spotfire® Analytics

Each Spotfire® Analytics license includes 1 named Analytics User using either the Spotfire Windows Application or the Spotfire Web Application, or both. Use of the Spotfire Web Application also requires the Spotfire® Enterprise license.

Spotfire® Data Science

Each Spotfire® Data Science license includes 1 named Data Science User using either the Spotfire Windows Application or the Spotfire Web Application, or both. Use of the Spotfire Web Application also requires the Spotfire® Enterprise license.

Spotfire® Enterprise

The Spotfire® Enterprise license entitles Customer to deploy an Unlimited number of the following components:

• Spotfire® Server

• Spotfire® Web Player

• Spotfire® Automation Services

• Spotfire® Service for Python

• Spotfire® Service for R

• Spotfire® Enterprise Runtime for R Service

• Spotfire® Qualification

• Spotfire® Network Analytics

• Statistica® Server

• Statistica® Monitoring & Alerting Server

• Statistica® Live Score® Server

• Statistica® Data Entry Server

Each Spotfire® Enterprise license includes an Unlimited number of Analysis Consumers and Analysis Viewers. 

Accessing analytics features in the Web Player requires a Spotfire® Analytics license.

Accessing data science features in the Web Player requires Spotfire® Data Science.

Spotfire® Enterprise with External Consumers

In addition to what is included in Spotfire® Enterprise, Spotfire® Enterprise with External Consumers also entitles Customer to share Spotfire Analyses internally or externally from the Customer’s organization. Each Spotfire® Enterprise with External Consumers license includes an Unlimited number of External Analysis Consumers and External Analysis Viewers for sharing analyses for consumption with users that are internal and external to the Customer’s organization. It is not allowed to assign Spotfire Analytics or Spotfire Data Science to external, third-party end users. Customer is responsible for ensuring that any External Analysis Consumer or External Analysis Viewer complies with the obligations of our End User Agreement (EUA) as an Authorized User.

Spotfire® Enterprise Advanced Data Services

The Spotfire® Enterprise Advanced Data Services license entitles Customer to deploy an Unlimited number of TIBCO® Data Virtualization instances for the sole purpose of making unified views of data available to Spotfire® clients. 

A full TIBCO Data Virtualization license is required for publishing views as web services or to clients that are not Spotfire® clients.

Spotfire® Enterprise Data Streams

The Spotfire® Enterprise Data Streams license entitles Customer to to deploy an Unlimited number of the following components for the sole purpose of serving live data to Spotfire® clients:

• Spotfire StreamBase® Server 

• Spotfire StreamBase® Studio 

• Spotfire LiveView™ Server 

• Spotfire® Data Streams for Cloud 

• Spotfire® Standard Adapters

• Spotfire® Premium Adapters

Reporting Requirements

During the term of Customer’s Subscription to these Products Customer shall provide Company with a written notice certifying the quantities deployed at the end of each annual Reporting Period for each Component in the table below (the “Usage Report”). For each Component, the Usage Report shall include the quantities at the end of the reporting period, or cumulative as identified in the table below, of the Usage Metric listed.

Each Usage Report shall be due 60 days after the Reporting Period has ended, with the exception of the Usage Report for the final Reporting Period covered in Customer’s subscription term:

• That final Usage Report shall be due 90 days before the end of the Reporting Period.

• The final Usage Report shall only cover the first 8 months of the Reporting Period.
