Advanced Scheduling Ribbon

The Scheduling tool ribbon groups the scheduling options into the following categories:

• Actions
  
  • Save & Close. Saves and closes the schedule.
  • Delete. Deletes the schedule.
• Show
  
  • Properties. Provides the Title, Path, Summary, Job Priority Level, and No Report to Distribute options for the schedule.
  • Recurrences. Provides run-time intervals for distribution and repeat options.
  • Tasks. Enables you to view the task associated with the schedule.
  • Distributions. Provides a drop-down list of distribution methods and their corresponding distribution options.
  • Notification. Provides the options to set up notification of the schedule status.
  • Log Reports. Shows the log reports available for each time the schedule has run.
• Manage Recurrences
  
  • New. Creates a new Recurrence, Task, or Distribution definition for the schedule.
    • Select Recurrences and then click New to create a recurrence. Only one recurrence is supported.
    • Select Tasks and then click the New drop-down list. Select WebFOCUS Report, WebFOCUS Server Procedure, WebFOCUS Schedule, File, FTP, or URL, as shown in the following image.
      

      Note: Multiple recurrences are supported for Email and Printer distributions. To be able to create multiple tasks, select the Email or Printer distributions before scheduling tasks. Email is the default distribution method for a new schedule.

    • Select Distributions and then click the New drop-down list. Select Email, FTP, Printer, Report Library, or Repository, as shown in the following image. Only one recurrence is supported.
      
  • Edit. Enables users to edit an existing Recurrence, Task, or Distribution.
  • Remove. Enables users to remove an existing Recurrence, Task, or Distribution.
