Diagram levels provide greater detail to be defined for processes to form a map.

Adding Diagram Levels

Provide more detail for a specific activity by creating a drilldown to a child diagram.

Procedure

1.Click Edit diagram.

2.Double-click Create a drilldown on an activity.

A child diagram will now be created beneath the activity.

Note: Input and output lines will be copied from the parent to the child diagram.

3.Click Save and then Done.

 

Diagram levels can also be created on free text boxes and images.

Procedure

1.Click Edit diagram.

2.Click the free text box or image you want to create a child diagram for, and then click Edit.

3.From the Links tab click CREATE DRILLDOWN.

A child diagram will be created beneath the object.

4. Click Save and then Done.

Creating Process Variants

Create variants of the same process on activities, free text boxes and images.

Prerequisites

At least one child diagram must already exist on the object.

Procedure

1.Click Edit diagram.

2.Click the object that you want to create a process variant for, and then click Edit.

3.From the Links tab click CREATE VARIANT.

4.Repeat step 3 for as many variants that you want to create.

Note: You can access variant diagrams by clicking them in the Drilldowns section.

Setting the Primary diagram

The first diagram level that you create will become the primary process, i.e. the standard process. You can change the primary diagram by selecting the process variant check box and clicking Primary.

5.Click Save and then Done.

Deleting Diagram Levels

Delete primary child diagrams or process variants. Note that all lower-level diagrams associated with the diagram will also be deleted.

Procedure

1.Click Edit diagram.

2.Click the object that you want to delete a child diagram or process variant from, and then click Edit.

3.Click the Links tab, and in the Drilldowns section select the check boxes of the diagram level(s) that you want to delete, and then click Delete.

4.Click DELETE ALL CHILD DIAGRAMS to confirm.

5.Click Save and then Done.
