Defining Relationships and Participants

A relationship is a collection of entities that you want to bind together.

1. Click the Relationships tab in the SmartMapper ER Model editor.
2. Optional: Click Add Relationship Folder and type a folder name in the displayed Configuration tab.
3. Click Add Relationship and type a relationship name in the displayed Configuration tab.
4. Select the relationship type from Relationship Type list. See Relationship for more details about relationship types.
5. Click Add Participant to add a participant to the relationship.
6. In the Configuration tab, click to select an entity for the added participant.
7. Select the Cardinality is many check box if the relationship is an Identity relationship.
