Managing an Entity

SmartMapper Business UI allows you to create, update, and delete entity instances.

When editing a participant of a relationship, the corresponding entity is also changed. See Managing Participants for more details.

Procedure

Log in to SmartMapper Business UI, as described in Logging in to SmartMapper Business UI.
Click Entity from the menu.
Expand an application and select an entity.
You are brought to the Entity Management page. All the entity instances are listed in the left panel.
Do the following to update the selected entity:
- Click in the upper right corner to update display fields of the entity.
  See Changing Display Field for more details.
- Select check boxes next to entity instances and then click in the left panel.
  The selected entity instances are deleted.
- Click in the left panel to create an entity instance.
  See Creating an Entity Instance for more details.
- Click in the Information for panel to update the selected entity instance.
