SmartMapper Tools

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for SmartMapper offers command-line tools. You can load and extract data in bulk, compare SmartMapper ER Model files, migrate relationship and entity data, and upgrade databases to correspond with different versions of TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for SmartMapper.

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for SmartMapper offers the five following tools:
A database connection is required to run the command-line tools. Instead of specifying the database connection parameters one by one, you can prepare the databases before running the command-line tools. See Configuring Database Connection for more details.
Note: Before using the SmartMapper Tools, you are required to add the official drivers for the databases to the local directory. The directory location to the drivers is TIBCO_HOME\bw\palettes\smartmapper\7.1\tools\lib.
  • Configuring Database Connection
    Configure the database before running SmartMapper command-line tools, if you want to save the manual typing works for all parameters each time you connect to the database.
  • Using Bulk Extract Tool
    With this tool, you can extract the relationship data or the entity data in bulk.
  • Using Bulk Load Tool
    With this tool, you can load the relationship data or the entity data in bulk.
  • Using Differencing Tool
    With this tool, you can compare two SmartMapper ER Models.
  • Using Migration Tool
    With this tool, you can migrate relationship data and entity data in an existing database to another empty database.
  • Using Database Upgrade Tool
    With this tool, you can upgrade a database used for TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for SmartMapper 5.x. After upgrading, the database can be used in TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for SmartMapper 7.1.
