Starting the Server

Before logging in to SmartMapper Business UI, you are required to start the SmartMapper Business UI server.

Before you beginBefore starting the server, you are required to complete the following tasks:
  • Configure the Property File
  • Add the official driver for the database specified in the property file to the TIBCO_HOME\bw\palettes\smartmapper\7.1\admin\lib directory.
Note: If the SmartMapper ER Model in the specified database has been changed since the last time the server was started, you are required to delete all the files residing in the TIBCO_HOME\bw\palettes\smartmapper\7.1\admin\config\system directory before starting the server.
    Procedure
  1. On a command line, direct to the TIBCO_HOME\bw\palettes\smartmapper\7.1\admin directory.
  2. Run startserver.

    A server.log file is generated in the TIBCO_HOME\bw\palettes\smartmapper\7.1\admin\logs directory.
