Creating an Email Service Task

To send an email from a process you use a Service task of type Email.

Procedure

  1. Open the AcknowledgeClaim process.
  2. Select the Acknowledge claim task.
  3. On the Properties view, General tab, change the Activity Type from Task to Service Task. The right-hand pane now displays a Service Type field.
  4. Change the Service Type to E-Mail.
  5. Enter a suitable Subject and Body for the email message. For example:

    You will populate the To field in the later

  6. Click More Details. The E-Mail tab is displayed.
