Recovery Objectives
To plan for failure scenarios, you must define how much data loss you can tolerate, and how long you can afford for the grid to be down. Based on these data points, ActiveSpaces can be configured to provide various levels of service to satisfy your objectives.
- Recovery Point Objective
To define a recovery point objective, determine how much data loss your system can sustain in the event of a disaster. This value can be used to determine how frequently checkpoints must be taken, and how frequently a mirror grid must request updates. - Recovery Time Objective
After an event occurs that requires changing to the disaster recovery site, the recovery time objective defines how much downtime a user can tolerate.
