Distribution services are hosted in the first application JVM that is started. They are stopped when this JVM is stopped. In addition, a distribution configuration must be loaded and activated to enable distribution. Deactivating the distribution configuration terminates distribution, even if there is a running application JVM in which they could be hosted. See the section called “Configuration” for details on distribution configuration.
