Modeling Case Data in a BOM

Use the BOM Editor to model your case data.

Procedure

  1. Add at least one case class to the BOM.
  2. Add a case identifier to each case class.
  3. Add a case state attribute to each case class.
  4. Select the case state attribute, then on the General tab of the Properties view choose the enumeration type that lists the possible states.
  5. Select the case state attribute, then on the Terminal States tab of the Properties view, select one or more terminal states for the case.
  6. Specify the attributes that you want in the case summary.
    1. In the BOM Editor, select the attribute.
    2. On the General tab of the Properties view, select or clear the Summary option.
  7. Specify the attributes that you want to be searchable attributes in case classes:
    1. In the BOM Editor, select the attribute.
    2. On the General tab of the Properties view, select or clear Searchable option.
  8. Define required BOM relationships.
  9. Save the BOM.
