CICS Palette

A palette groups the activities that connect the same external applications together. A CICS palette is added after installing TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for CICS.

You can use the CICS palette to create BusinessWorks processes to send requests and run applications in CICS for z/OS operating environments. The CICS palette contains the following activities to manage CICS entries and monitor a connected CICS region:
  • Interaction
    The Interaction activity represents a modern approach to run CICS programs: all the functionality available in the Adapter Mode Interaction is available here, in addition to the ability to use CICS Containers as input and output from the program, the ability to route the request between CICS regions for execution, and much more. The following tables describe the fields available on the Interaction.
  • ContainerInteraction
    The ContainerInteraction activity functions much like the CICS Interaction activity using containers with the exception that there might be any number of input and output containers. The containers are described and mapped in the input and output schema tabs rather than in fields in the activity configuration panel. The output of the activity contains a container segment for every container created by the program and those which are used as input unless the input only indication was used.
