Migrating from Release 5.4

You can migrate an enterprise from Release 5.4 to Release 6.x without interrupting service. Complete the following multi-phase procedure.

Components of Release 6.x can interoperate with client libraries and components from Release 5.4.

Prerequisites

All the components of your enterprise are running TIBCO FTL Release 5.4.

Procedure

  1. Migrate realm servers to FTL servers.
  2. Migrate persistence servers to FTL servers.
  3. Consolidate the FTL servers.
    You can also migrate transport bridge and eFTL services in this subtask.
  4. Upgrade client libraries to Release 6.x.
