Manage Authenticators

You can update, delete, or test authenticators through the Manage Authenticators page which can be accessed by clicking Administration > Authenticators > Manage Authenticators.

The following figure shows the Manage Authenticators page:

To update an authenticator configuration, click the authenticator name link of the authenticator that you want to update and the Update Authenticator page is displayed. After making necessary changes, click Update to save the changes.

To test an authenticator connection, click the Test link of the authenticator that you want to test. The following figure shows the test results: two users are synchronized with the MFT database along with the TransferRight assignment (see Add Authenticator for more details).

When the test is successful, you can synchronize users and rights from the directory server through LDAP. If no rights are enabled for the authenticator, the users are added to the MFT database without any rights when the LDAP synchronization is performed. Then, the MFT administrator can assign rights to the users through the Administrator web pages. For more information of synchronizing with the LDAP authenticator, see LDAP Sync.

To delete an authenticator, click the authenticator name link that you want to delete and the Delete Authenticator page is displayed. You are prompted to define whether to delete the authenticator or the authenticator and all authenticator users.
