Configuring a User for PGP Transfers

The transfer user conducting the transfer requests must be configured in TIBCO MFT Internet Server.

To send a PGP encrypted file, the user needs the TIBCO MFT Internet Server PGP public key, which has been created as described in Creating a PGP System Key.The public key allows the user to encrypt files that are uploaded to the TIBCO MFT Internet Server.

The user has the following two ways to get the TIBCO MFT Internet Server PGP public key:

  • The administrator sends the MFT PGP public key to the user by emails.
  • The User log on to the file transfer browser client to retrieve the key.

Retrieving the PGP Public Key in the File Transfer Browser Client

To retrieve the PGP public key, complete the following steps:

  1. Click User_Account > Settings.
  2. In the PGP Public Key tab, you can list and display the MFT PGP public key to cut and paste into a file to import the key into their key ring.

See your program instructions for details about how to import and export PGP keys.
