Upgrading TIBCO MFT Internet Server

You can upgrade TIBCO MFT Internet Server from a previous version.

Some steps in the upgrading process differ, depending on the version of the former TIBCO MFT Internet Server that you have installed presently.

Both TIBCO MFT Command Center and TIBCO MFT Internet Server can be installed on the same server sharing a database as long as different ports are used. By default, TIBCO MFT Command Center uses ports 8080 and 8443 for the HTTP and HTTPS protocols and TIBCO MFT Internet Server uses ports 7080 and 7443 for the HTTP and HTTPS protocols respectively.

The database should always be backed up before upgrading. Before upgrading the final instance of TIBCO MFT Internet Server or TIBCO MFT Command Center from 7.2.x, you must take an additional backup of the database. You will need to use this backup if you ever need to revert to a earlier version of MFT.

Note: If you use DB2 database and upgrade TIBCO MFT Internet Server from a previous version, the database user must have the database administrator right.
