OpenSpirit enables applications to exchange data using events. Receiving data selections events is discussed in the Import from Data Source chapter.
If data has been imported (received) via OpenSpirit then it has an OpenSpirit datakey stored with it and one may then send a data selection event that references the data in the external data store.
