Creating a new App Build

To creat a new application, perform the given procedure.

Note: By default, the TIBCO BusinessWorks6 (Containers) apps are configured with 1 CPU and 4 GB of memory.
Before you begin Ensure to provision a TIBCO BusinessWorks6 (Containers) version capability and select its appropriate plug-ins. For more information, see Provisioning TIBCO BusinessWorks6 (Containers) Capability and Plug-ins.
Note:
  • Create an application EAR build with version 2.9.0 of TIBCO BusinessWorks6 (Containers). TIBCO BusinessWorks6 (Containers) 2.9.0 and above is supported. For more information to download TIBCO BusinessWorks6 (Containers), see Downloading TIBCO Control Center Tools.
  • The application must be configured as Container for Deployment Target before exporting the EAR from TIBCO Business Studio for BusinessWorks.
  • Ensure that the TIBCO BusinessWorks6 (Containers) version is provisioned on the data plane before deploying an application.
  • The application properties must be tokenized to configure them on data plane deployment. For more information, see Tokenizing Application Properties.
    Procedure
  1. From the Upload EAR window, in the Select Application files to Upload, drag your .ear file onto the box or click browse to upload to find and open your .ear file, and then click Next.
  2. In the App Build Configuration window, under Select BWCE Version, specify the values for the following fields:
    • BWCE Version: The TIBCO BusinessWorks6 (Containers) version.
    • Base Image: The base images supported by the TIBCO BusinessWorks6 (Containers) versions.
    • BW Profile: This displays all the profiles that are available for the application EAR file. You can also upload your own custom profile by clicking the Browse button.
    • Application Build Name: The name of the app builds created from the application. By default, it takes the application name.
    • Tags: The tags to categorize the builds.
    • Select versions of required plugins: This displays the plugins that are required by the application. User can add more plugins using link plugin option.
    • Auto provision required plugins: When you select this option and create a build, the plugins required for the application get auto-provisioned.
  3. Select Create Build to generate the app build.
Result After the app build is created and the TIBCO BusinessWorks6 (Containers) on the data plane, an app build with ID is generated. Click the respective boxes to either Deploy App or View App Builds.
