Your TIBCO StreamBase® installation, starting with release 7.5.0, includes both TIBCO StreamBase and TIBCO® Live Datamart in the same installation package. A single installation procedure installs both products into the same directory structure on the target machine.
However, while TIBCO StreamBase and TIBCO Live Datamart are installed together, they are not licensed together. The two products are licensed separately according to the terms of the End User License Agreement for each product:
-
In order to deploy a StreamBase application on an instance of TIBCO® StreamBase Server, you must have a license to use StreamBase.
-
Similarly, to deploy a TIBCO Live Datamart application on a TIBCO™ LiveView Server, you must have a license to use TIBCO Live Datamart. A TIBCO Live Datamart license always requires and presumes a companion license for StreamBase.
The test for your license status is your TIBCO Order Form. If TIBCO Live Datamart is not listed on your Order Form, then you are not entitled to use it.
Adapters are programs that convert data to and from the StreamBase tuple protocol. TIBCO StreamBase® Adapters fall into three licensing categories:
-
Standard Adapters, installed as part of the combined TIBCO StreamBase plus TIBCO Live Datamart installation package.
-
Premium Adapters, installed as part of the combined TIBCO StreamBase plus TIBCO Live Datamart installation package but licensed separately.
-
Premium Adapters, installed as part of the separate TIBCO StreamBase Connectivity Package.
The formal definition of which Adapters fall into the Standard and Premium categories is maintained in PDF format at the following URL: http://www.tibco.com/StreamBase_Restrictions.
You are authorized to use the TIBCO StreamBase® Standard Adapters as part of your license to use TIBCO StreamBase® according to the terms of your End-User License Agreement.
Any TIBCO StreamBase® Premium Adapter, regardless of installation origin, must be separately licensed. Similarly, the TIBCO StreamBase® High-Performance FIX Engine must be separately licensed.
The test for your license status is your TIBCO Order Form. If a TIBCO StreamBase® Premium Adapter or the High Performance FIX Engine is not listed on your Order Form, then you are not entitled to use it.
Effective with TIBCO StreamBase® version 7.6.3 and TIBCO® Live Datamart 2.1.3, the TIBCO StreamBase and TIBCO Live Datamart products include a copy of TIBCO® Enterprise Runtime for R Developer Edition. TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R Developer Edition is licensed to you for Developer Evaluation purposes only. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in TIBCO’s End User License Agreement, the foregoing license (i) is for an unlimited number of Named Users, and (ii) is effective for a term concurrent with the license term for your licensed version of TIBCO StreamBase or TIBCO Live Datamart, as applicable. If you require a Production or Non-Production license to TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R, please contact your sales representative.
Cloud Software Group, Inc. ("TIBCO") provides a JavaScript sample as part of the TIBCO® Live Datamart product distribution (“Sample”). The Sample's purpose is to illustrate the use of the TIBCO Live Datamart JavaScript Client API to allow TIBCO Live Datamart results to be displayed on a web page or as part of a web application.
One feature of the Sample is a charting module that makes use of the Highcharts.js JavaScript library (“Library”), as published by Highsoft AS. Licensees of TIBCO Live Datamart may use the Library in connection with their instances of TIBCO Live Datamart solely on the condition they comply with the following limitations:
-
Customers of TIBCO Live Datamart are free to open, read, and modify the Sample, including the Library.
-
Customers of TIBCO Live Datamart may use the Library in development of any web page or web application as long as such web page or web application connects to Customer’s instance of a TIBCO Live Datamart server to obtain its live data. Customer may not use the Library to develop web pages or web applications that do not connect to Customer’s instance of TIBCO Live Datamart.
Note
Customer understands that neither TIBCO nor Highsoft AS have any obligation to provide support regarding the web pages, web applications, or other functionality created by Customer using the Library. For general support in using the Library, you may consult the Highsoft AS documentation at http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts.
If you license a TIBCO® Suite that includes TIBCO® Live Datamart as a Suite Component, then your license for TIBCO Live Datamart includes a limit on the amount of customer data under management. This is the sum total of your data made available to client applications served by TIBCO Live Datamart. The exact limit in gigabytes of customer data under management authorized by your Suite license is stated on your TIBCO Order Form.
You can track the amount of your customer data served by TIBCO Live Datamart with a simple query sent to the server. You can issue a query from any client application, including TIBCO LiveView™ Web, TIBCO LiveView™ Desktop, the lv-client command line tool, or from a client application you write using the TIBCO LiveView™ Client APIs in Java or .NET (on Windows only). See Calculating Customer Data Under Management for an example of such a query.
