Details on Add/Edit SharePoint Site

When you want to access data from a site that is not available under your organization’s root site in SharePoint, you use this dialog to add another SharePoint site. You also use this dialog when you want to edit the address of a SharePoint site that you have added to a connection data source.

How to reach this dialog

  1. Create a new data connection to SharePoint Online, or edit an existing connection.

  2. In the Microsoft SharePoint Online Connection dialog, sign in with Microsoft. Then click Add….

Option

Description

Site address (URL)

Enter the address of the SharePoint site you want to access lists from. To add the site as a top-level site in your connection data source, click OK.

You must enter a full valid URL. For example:

https://tenant.sharepoint.com/sites/MyTeamSite/

Tip: When you add a SharePoint site, you can access lists from that site and any subsites under it. If you have a SharePoint structure with many subsites, it can be convenient to add the top-level site.
