Details on Data Loading Settings

This dialog becomes available when saving an analysis locally (in which case you click Show details to show the settings), or by clicking the Review or edit settings link in the Save as Library Item dialog.

The Data Loading Settings dialog gives you an overview of the current data loading settings for the included parts of all data tables in the analysis. This overview can help you determining whether other users will have access to the data in the analysis, if the analysis is shared. For more information about how different settings affect users of the analysis, see Embedded or Linked Data?.

Description

[Message at the top of the dialog.]

The message informs you whether or not stored data will be available for all data sources in the analysis.

This information can be particularly important if you create analyses for other users.

Show details/Hide details

[Only visible when saving to file, not when saving to the library.]

Shows or hides detailed information about the different data tables in the analysis and their sources, and allows you to make changes to the settings.

Data tables used in analysis

Lists all data tables in the analysis. Data tables that are built from more than one source can have different data loading settings for different parts of the data table, if this is desired.

This way, you can make sure that data from one source is always new data, whereas other parts of the data table remain the same.

Change all applicable data sources to

Use this drop-down list to modify the data loading setting for all applicable data sources at once.

Note that some data sources cannot be changed to anything other than their current setting.  For example, data from the clipboard cannot be saved using any other setting than stored data, because no linked source is available, and external data connections can never be stored.
