StreamBase Runtime deployment in Docker containers is supported in the following environments:

Cloud Foundry Cloud Foundry networking limitations prevent Runtime clustering, data partitioning, replication, and quorum management from working.
Docker Desktop for Windows, Docker Desktop for Mac See Programs with Incompatibilities for the restrictions on running VMware Workstation or Oracle VirtualBox on the same Windows computer.
IBM Cloud (formerly IBM Bluemix)  
Microsoft Azure None
OpenStack None
Operating Systems. See Supported Configurations. None
Virtualized Hardware. The operating systems defined above are supported on these virtualization and hypervisors as either the host or guest operating system.
  • VMware ESXi 5.5 to 6

  • VMware vSphere Hypervisor

  • VMware Fusion 10

  • VMware Workstation 14 Pro and Player for Windows 2008 Server R2 and Windows 10

  • Parallels Desktop Pro 13.2

  • QEMU (KVM version 2.8)

  • Xen 4.8.x (Amazon Web Services' variant also supported)

  • Hyper-V version 10.0 on Windows 10, update 1607 or later

  • Hyper-V Machine Configuration version 8.0

  • Oracle VM VirtualBox versions 5.2 and 5.1.x

None. However, only System V shared memory is supported for production systems in virtualized environments.

OpenShift environment: Cluster auto-scaling is supported using Kubernetes Horizontal Pod Autoscale (HPA) 1.7.
