System requirements for Spotfire products
On this page, you can find system requirements for Spotfire® products.
Spotfire environment
When using Spotfire on premises, you set up your own Spotfire environment in your organization, on your own servers.
On the server side, Spotfire Server is the central component of your Spotfire environment to which all clients connect. To enable using web clients and execution of automation jobs, you can install services for Spotfire Web Player & Automation Services respectively on nodes in your server environment. To enable using data functions for statistical analysis to share across the platform, you can install the services for the Spotfire® Enterprise Runtime for R engine, the R engine or the Python engine on nodes in your server environment. To use connectors for loading data from external systems in web clients or automation jobs, you must install the appropriate drivers on the node running the service. |
As an end user, you can use both Spotfire Analyst, the installed client, for powerful authoring capabilities, and the web client, for authoring and consuming Spotfire content. You can also use the mobile app for Apple iOS, or Android, to explore your analyses on your mobile device. To use connectors in Spotfire Analyst, for loading data from external systems, install the appropriate drivers. |
