Add Calculated Column

You can add a calculated column to your KPI Library in the Spotfire Metrics Modeler.

1. Click Add a Column.
2. In the resulting dialog, enter the formula in the text field, and then click Construct. Formula guidelines are as follows.
   • All variables must be inside of brackets ([ ]).
   • The KPI and Comparative columns can only be used as variables within the formula.
   • A KPI column should be named KPI or Main and a Comparative column can be named anything, ([Main] + [X])/[Y] (Main is the KPI column and X and Y are the Comparative columns).
   A new row is created with a drop-down menu of variables for selection.
3. Select a variable from the drop-down menu, and then click Save.
