Rolling back a service update

After updating a service, you have the option of undoing the update and returning to the previous version of the service.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Spotfire Server and click Nodes & Services.
  2. On the Your network page, under Select a view, click Nodes, and then select the service that was updated.
    The Show previous service button is displayed in the upper-right corner of the page.
  3. Click Show previous service.
    The Service information dialog is displayed.
  4. Select one of the two options available.
    OptionDescription
    Roll back to previous service This option provides steps for rolling the service back to the previous version.
    Delete previous service This option keeps the updated service and deletes the previous service.
    1. For the first option, click Roll back to previous service.
      The Roll back service dialog is displayed.
    2. Click Start rollback.
      A confirmation message is displayed.
    3. Select the service again.
      The following three buttons are displayed in the upper-right corner.
    4. Click the option that performs the required operation.
      Option Description
      Confirm rollback Click to proceed to the Confirm rollback dialog; click Confirm rollback to finalize.
      Cancel rollback Click to cancel the rollback and keep the updated service.
      View service information Inspect the state of the service either before the rollback or after the rollback. In the resulting dialog, confirm or cancel the rollback.

Results

A message is displayed confirming that the action requested was performed.
