TIBCO Spotfire® Server and Environment - Installation and Administration

Configuring shared import and export directory for clustered deployments

The library administrator can import and export the contents of a library folder from the Library Administration tool in Spotfire Analyst. The import and export files are stored in a directory specified in the Spotfire Server configuration. In a clustered environment, where the client could be communicating with any of the servers, configure a common shared directory.

About this task

For general information about Spotfire Server clusters, see Clustered server deployments.

You can set the import and export folder from either the configuration tool, or from the command-line command config-import-export-directory. This task uses the configuration tool.

Before you begin

You must have created the directory, and then shared it with all of the Spotfire Server installations in the cluster.

Procedure

  1. On the computer where Spotfire Server is installed, open the configuration tool.
  2. Click the Configuration tab.
  3. In the right panel, click Library Directory.
The Configure Library Properties dialog is displayed.
  4. For Library path to use, click Custom.
  5. In the Library import/export path text box, provide the path to the directory you have specified as shared with all the Spotfire Server installations in the cluster.
  6. Click Save configuration, and if prompted, specify where to import the configuration.
  7. Restart the servers in the cluster.

Results

The configuration is successfully saved, and the import and export directory for the cluster is set to the shared directory.
