Getting started
New TIBCO Spotfire® administrators can begin by learning how a Spotfire® implementation is put together and how it works, and use the Quick Start Guide to begin setting up a pre-production environment. For experienced Spotfire administrators, the Release Notes for each product version describe new features and other changes.
Note: Any updates to this
documentation will be available at

Experienced Spotfire administrators:
- To get started, see Upgrading Spotfire.
New Spotfire administrators:
- The
Quick Start Guide provides a short introduction to the
Spotfire environment, and then takes you through the required steps for a
simple
Spotfire
configuration:
TIBCO Spotfire® Server
on one computer, the
TIBCO Spotfire® Analyst
client on another, the node manager installed, the
TIBCO Spotfire® Web Player,
TIBCO Spotfire® Automation
Services,
and the TIBCO® Enterprise Runtime for R - Server Edition (TERR service) or
Spotfire Service for Python (if applicable) available on all network computers,

Note: You can also use the Quick Start Guide to complete the initial installation for a more complex implementation. In most cases it is recommended that you have a working basic installation before you add additional servers, load balancers, authentication methods, and so on.
To begin the installation, see the Quick Start Guide, either as an online help or a PDF, at https://docs.tibco.com/products/tibco-spotfire-server.
Deployment in Kubernetes:
- To deploy TIBCO Spotfire® using containers and Helm charts on a Kubernetes cluster you can use the recipes from Cloud Deployment Kit for TIBCO Spotfire® as they are, or as the starting point for creating your own recipes.
