Searching the library

You can search for items in the library directly using the name or keywords of the item, using quick filters, or using search expressions.

About this task

Most of the Spotfire library administration is done using the Library administration tool, found under Tools > Library administration in Spotfire Analyst, but you can use the Spotfire Server web administration pages to locate, inspect and copy or move items.

Procedure

Log in to the Spotfire Server web administration pages and click Library.
Use one of the methods below to search.
- Option 1: Type the name or a part of the name of the item directly in the search field.
- Option 2: Click Filters and use one or more of the available fields to search for items of a specific type, or items modified during a specified time period, etc. The corresponding expression will be shown in the search field.
- Option 3: Type a search expression directly, as exemplified in Searching the Library in the Spotfire Analyst User's Guide. The search expression can contain combinations of multiple search keywords and text, to locate exactly the item you are looking for.
