Session management
Configuring your server to close an idle session, to require users to log in when a session reaches its time-out limit, and to restrict the number of concurrent sessions allowed can contribute to a robust security strategy for your TIBCO Spotfire Server environment.
You can use either the Spotfire Server command-line commands or the configuration tool to manage user sessions.
- Managing active user sessions
To restrict the number of concurrent sessions that each of your users is allowed, configure Spotfire Server to specify both the number of sessions and the action to take when a user reaches the session limit. - Absolute session timeout and idle session timeout
Absolute session timeout is a recommended security feature, while idle session timeout is mainly a resource management feature.
