Spotfire Qualification allows you to verify that an analysis in Spotfire yields the same results on different installations of Spotfire – that is, on other computers, between development/test/production environments, or after upgrading Spotfire. Spotfire Qualification includes an export tool that exports all parts of a Spotfire analysis. The first export is verified manually, and when the export is verified to be correct, it is used as a gold standard. The Spotfire Qualification compare tool then compares that gold standard with other comparison exports, reporting the differences between the exports.
Note: From version 12.5.0, Spotfire uses a different graphics backend for rendering images than the export tool does. The compare tool will not report any differences between the gold standard and the comparison exports, however, you might notice slight visual differences between the analyses in Spotfire and the exports.
To Qualify Spotfire:
Create an analysis, containing all plots, tables, calculations, and so on, that is to be qualified.
Create a gold standard for that analysis by exporting it with the Qualification export tool and verifying its contents manually.
Create an export of the same analysis on another computer or environment where Spotfire should be qualified.
Compare the new export with the gold standard using the Qualification compare tool, and verify that the new export is the same as the gold standard.
Handle potential differences in the comparison export and the gold standard and create a new gold standard.

To get access to the qualification tool, you need to have SpotfireQualification.spk deployed on your Spotfire Server, and the licenses Qualification Export Tool and Qualification Compare Tool must be enabled.
