Upgrading nodes and services
To upgrade the nodes, deploy new node manager and service or client package distributions to the server.
About this task
Depending on which nodes and services you have in your system, you
will get new versions of the following distributions:
- Spotfire.Dxp.NodeManagerLinux.sdn (the node manager distribution for use on Linux)
- Spotfire.Dxp.NodeManagerWindows.sdn (the node manager distribution for use on Windows)
- Spotfire.Dxp.netcore-linux.sdn (the Web Player and Automation Services for Linux only)
- Spotfire.Dxp.sdn (the Web Player and Automation Services for Windows and Linux)
- Spotfire.Dxp.PythonServiceLinux.sdn (the Spotfire Service for Python on Linux)
- Spotfire.Dxp.PythonServiceWindows.sdn (the Spotfire Service for Python on Windows)
- Spotfire.Dxp.RServiceLinux.sdn (the Spotfire Service for R on Linux)
- Spotfire.Dxp.RServiceWindows.sdn (the Spotfire Service for R on Windows)
- Spotfire.Dxp.TerrServiceLinux.sdn (the Spotfire Enterprise Runtime for R - Server Edition on Linux)
- Spotfire.Dxp.TerrServiceWindows.sdn (the Spotfire Enterprise Runtime for R - Server Edition on Windows)

Procedure
- Upgrading nodes using the upgrade tool (deprecated)
If deploying the packages or distributions should fail for some reason, you might also try installing the new node managers on the same hosts as the old node managers. Then run the node manager upgrade tool on each new node manager.
