Home Tab
Use the options on the Home tab to interact with the Enterprise configurations. The contents of the ribbon bar will change based on the configuration selected in the tree view.
- Changes
- Following are descriptions of the options located in the Changes group.
- Commit
- Click Commit to commit the changes currently pending back to the Enterprise database. Those changes pending will be bold in the tree view. This option will only become active when changes are pending.
- Cancel
- Click Cancel to cancel changes that are currently pending. This option will only become active when changes are pending.
- Next Step
- Click Next Step to continue with the likely next step when making changes to a configuration. This option is used to help guide you through making changes in a configuration. Configuration options are broken down into properties with sub-properties, or sub-configurations, and in this way the tree view offers you a visual guide in how to proceed with creating or editing a configuration. This option will only become active when a change is pending for a configuration.
- Navigate
- Following are descriptions of the options in the Navigate group.
- Go Back
- Click Go Back to select the previously selected item in the tree view.
- Go Forward
- Click Go Forward to select the item in the tree view that was selected before clicking Go Back.
- Action
- Following are descriptions of the options in the Action group. Note that different options are displayed according to the specific item selected in the tree view.
- New Folder
- Click New Folder to display options in the properties page to create a new folder in the System View.
- New Data Config
- Click New Data Config to display options in the properties page to create a new data configuration.
- New SVB Data Config
- Click New SVB Data Config to display options in the properties page to create a new SVB data configuration.
- New Analysis Config
- Click New Analysis Config to display the Select a Data Configuration dialog box, where you can specify the data configuration on which the new analysis configuration will be based. Click OK in this dialog box, and the New Analysis Configuration options will be displayed in the properties page.
- New Report
- Click New Report to display options in the properties page to create a new report configuration.
- Insert File
- Click Insert File to display the Open dialog box, where you can browse to and select a file to insert.
- New Taskset
- Click New Taskset to display options in the properties page to create a new taskset configuration.
- New Dashboard
- Click New Dashboard to create a new dashboard configuration.
- New Characteristic
- Click New Characteristic to create a new characteristic.
- New Data Entry Setup
- Click New Data Entry Setup to create a new data entry setup.
- Export System View
- Click Export System View to display the Save As dialog box, where you can export the current System View into a text file.
- New Database Connection
- Use this option to create a new database connection.
- New from Data Link File
- Use this option to create a new database connection using a MS Data Link file (*.UDL - Universal Data Link).
- New Label
- Use this option to create a new label.
- New Station
- Use this option to create a new station.
- New User
- Use this option to create a new Statistica user.
- Import Users
- Use this option to import a new Windows user.
- New Group
- Use this option to create a new Statistica group.
- Filter
- Use this option to edit the filtering currently displayed in the Log Viewer.
- Refresh Now
- Use this option to refresh the data currently displayed in the Log Viewer.
- Refresh More
- Use this option to get more data into the currently displayed Log Viewer.
- Export
- Use this option to export the currently displayed data in the Log Viewer to a comma delimited text file (*.CSV).
- Auto Refresh
- Check this option to automatically refresh the contents on the Log Viewer based on the current filtering.
- Export Content
- Use this option to export the configuration information into an XML document.
- New Query
- Use this option to create a new query.
- Explore
- Use this option to explore the data found in the data configuration.
- Explore Specific Version
- Use this option o explore the data found in a specific data configuration. This option requires SDMS integration.
- New Analysis Configuration
- Use this option to create a new analysis configuration from the data configuration or data entry setup.
- Run
- Use this option to run the analysis or report configuration.
- Run With Options
- This option allows you to run the analysis or report configuration first prompting the you for further options to use when running the configuration.
- Explore
- This option is displayed when an SVB data configuration is selected. Click Explore to run the SVB data configuration.
- Explore Specific Version
- This option is displayed when an SVB data configuration is selected and SDMS integration is enabled. Click Explore Specific Version to display the Select a Data Configuration Version dialog box, where you can specify which version of the SVB data configuration to run.
- Edit Report
- Use this option to edit the report template for the report configuration.
- Test Report
- Use this option to test run the report configuration. This option will run the report configuration, but will not set it to run for the schedule if defined.
- Copy Report Template
- Use this option to copy the report template.
- Paste Report Template
- Use this option to paste the report template.
- Launch Data Entry
- Use this option to run the data entry process for the data entry setup.
- New Task
- Use this option to add a new task (analysis configuration) to the taskset.
- New Rule
- Use this option to add a new rule to the taskset.
- New Row
- Use this option to add a new row to the dashboard.
- Edit
- Following are descriptions of the options in the Edit group.
- Cut
- This option will copy the configuration or sub-property (part of a configuration) into the Windows clipboard and prepare it to be removed from the defined system view folder location or configuration. This option will only activate for configurations and sub-properties that can be copied into the Windows clipboard and removed.
- Copy
- Click Copy to copy the configuration or sub-property (part of a configuration) to the Clipboard. This option will only be activated for configurations and sub-properties that can be placed into the Windows clipboard.
- Paste
- Click Paste to paste the configuration or sub-property currently on the Clipboard into the Enterprise system. This option will only be activated where the configuration or sub-property may be placed into the Enterprise system.
- Paste-link
- Click Paste-link to paste a link of the configuration currently on the Clipboard into the system view. Thus, this option enables you to place the same configuration into multiple places in the system view. Review the System View Placement information for the configuration to see where the configuration has been placed into the system view.
- Rename
- Select a node in the tree view, and click Rename to display options in the properties page used to rename the node.
- Delete
- Select a node in the tree view, and click Delete to display the Delete Object dialog box.
- Select All
- Select Select All to select all the text in the text box where the cursor is located.
- Copy Path
- Click Copy Path to copy the selected node path to the Clipboard.
- View
- Following are descriptions of the options in the View group.
- System View
- Click System View to set the tree view to place configurations into the system view (under their associated folder). This only applies to those configurations that can be placed into the system view and enables you to review the configurations in a more organized view.
- Object View
- Click Object View to set the tree view to itemize each of the configurations under their specific configuration type category. The system view folders stay as defined, but the objects associated to them are not placed underneath the folders.
- Status Bar
- Select this check box to display the Status Bar at the bottom of the window.
- Refresh
- Click Refresh to refresh the tree view with any changes made to the configurations.
- Tools
- Following are descriptions of the options in the Tools group.
- Statistica
- Click Statistica to launch the Statistica program if it is not already opened.
- Database Migration
- Click Database Migration to launch the Database Migration tool.
