Data Entry Setup: Email Notification

Select Email Notification within a Data Entry Setup in the Enterprise Manager tree view to display these options in the properties page.

Note: There are two types of data entry: Desktop Data Entry requires the installation of software on a computer. Web Data Entry uses a browser for data entry. This information applies only to Web Data Entry and its work flow.

Email notification is controlled by a web configuration file and these options. See the Web Data Entry Admin Guide for more information.

Sender
Use the options in the group box to specify the email address that will appear in the From line of the email notification. This email account should be able process replies from those who receive the email notifications.
Use system-level email address as sender
The system-level email address is configured via the Mail Notification options. Clear this check box if notification emails should be sent from a different email address. Clearing this check box will cause the next options to become available, which are used to specify an email address other than the system-level email address.
Use this user's email address
Select this option button to enter the user's email address in the text box, or click the Select button to browse to and select the user's email address. Then, the user's email address will be in the "from” field in the email notification.
Use explicit email address
Select this option button to enter an email address other than the user's address in the text box. Ensure that it is a valid email account, which will be used in the ”r;From” field in the email notification.
Recipients
The options in the Recipients group box are used to specify the recipients of email notification. Email notification is sent to those in the Recipients group box whenever a sample is marked as Complete, Requires Revision, or Approved.
User/Email Addresses
This box lists current email notification recipients and their email addresses.
Add user
Click this button to display the Select a user dialog box, where you can select users to be email notification recipients.
Add email address
Click this button to display an edit box where you enter the email address of the user selected for email notification.
Remove
Select a user or an email address and click the Remove button to delete it.
Remove all
Click this button to remove all the users and email addresses in the User/Email Addresses box.
