User Administration: User View

To create a new STATISTICA Enterprise user account, expand the User Administration node in the tree view, select the Users folder, and click the New User button in the properties page. Or, right-click the User folder and from the menu select New User. To edit an existing user account, expand the User Administration node and the Users folder, and then select the desired User.

Note: To create accounts that use integrated Windows authentication, do not create a user account using these options. Instead, expand the User Administration node and select the Users folder, and then in the properties page, click the Import Users button, or select Import Users from the Actions menu.

Member of
This box displays all of the groups to which the user may belong. Groups with boxes already selected indicate those groups to which the user currently belongs. You can assign the user to any of the existing groups listed in the Member of list by selecting the check box adjacent to the group name. Groups in STATISTICA Enterprise are logical collections of users. For instance, if a number of the users belong to one department, it might be useful to assign them to a group named with that department's name. Groups are especially useful in that Data Configurations and Analysis Configurations can be assigned to certain groups.

An example will illustrate the benefit of using groups: If a new employee is hired in the department, he or she can be assigned to the group containing the other department members. With minimal effort, the single step of assigning the new employee to the appropriate group or groups, he or she will be able to use the Data Configurations and Analysis Configurations assigned to that group .
