Design & Analysis of Experiments with Two-Level Factors - Design Experiment Tab
Select the Design experiment tab of the Design & Analysis of Experiments with Two-Level Factors dialog box to access options to choose the two-level factorial design to generate. Note that STATISTICA will first generate a standard 2(k-p) design; the Design of an Experiment with Two-Level Factors dialog box provides numerous options for enhancing the basic design, e.g., via foldover, center points, replications, etc.
- Number of factors (min=2, max=11)
- The value in the Number of factors box specifies the number of factors for the 2(k-p) design. The minimum number of factors is 2, and the maximum number of factors is 11. To generate (screening) designs with more than 11 factors, use option 2-level screening (Plackett-Burman) designs on the Advanced tab of the Startup Panel. When you change the number of factors in this box, the list of designs in the Factors/blocks/runs box will change to display the available standard designs for the respective number of factors.
Factors/blocks/runs. The Factors/blocks/runs box shows the available standard designs for the currently specified number of factors. For example, design 7/32/128 is a design for 7 factors, with 32 blocks, in 128 runs. To select a design, click on it, and then click the OK button (or double-click on the respective design in this box) to review that design in the Design of an Experiment with Two-Level Factors dialog box.
- Generate design in Box, Hunter, & Hunter order
- Select this check box to generate the design in the order recommended by Box, Hunter, and Hunter.
