Arrangement of Factors

Click the Interaction plots button in various dialog boxes (such as the Statistics by Groups Results dialog box - Quick tab) to display the Arrangement of Factors dialog box. When creating an interaction plot, the options in this dialog box are used to control the assignment of grouping variables (factors) to the line patterns, upper x-axis, and lower x-axis. If more than three factors need to be plotted, the plot is produced in chunks within the levels of the other (not-selected) factors.

OK

Click OK to create the interaction plot.

Cancel

Click Cancel to exit the dialog box without creating an interaction plot.

Line patterns; x-axis, upper; x-axis lower

For each available list box, select the variable you want to display on that particular aspect of the graph.

Display all segments of the graph in one line

For a 3-way or higher order interaction, you also have the option to display all plots in one graph. Select the Display all segments of the graph in one line check box to display the plots side by side in one row. Clear this option to display the plots in more than one row. However, if more than three factors need to be plotted, the plot is produced in chunks within the levels of the other (not-selected) factors.
