Nonparametric Statistics Startup Panel and Quick Tab

Ribbon bar. Select the Statistics tab. In the Base group, click Nonparametrics to display the Nonparametric Statistics Startup Panel.

Classic menus. From the Statistics menu, select Nonparametrics to display the Nonparametric Statistics Startup Panel.

The Startup Panel contains one tab: Quick.

2 x 2 Tables (X2/V2/Phi2, McNemar, Fisher exact). Select this option to display the 2 x 2 Tables dialog box. For more information, see 2 x 2 Tables, Chi/V/Phi square, McNemar, Fisher exact.

Observed versus expected X2. Select this option to display the Observed vs. Expected Frequency dialog box. For more information, see Observed vs. expected Chi-square.

Correlations (Spearman, Kendall tau, gamma). Select this option to display the Nonparametric Correlations dialog box. For more information, see Correlations (Spearman, Kendall Tau, Gamma).

Comparing two independent samples (groups) Select this option to display the Comparing Two Groups dialog box. For more information, see Wald-Wolfowitz runs test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov two-sample test, and Mann-Whitney U test.
Comparing multiple indep. samples (groups). Select this option to display the Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA and Median Test dialog box. For more information, see Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA by ranks and median test.
Comparing two dependent samples (variables) Select this option to display the Comparing two variables dialog box. For more information, see sign test and Wilcoxon matched pairs test.
Comparing multiple dep. samples (variables). Select this option to display the Friedman ANOVA by Ranks dialog box. For more information, see Friedman ANOVA & Kendall concordance.
Cochran Q test Select this option to display the Cochran Q Test dialog box. For more information, see Cochran Q test.Ordinal descriptive statistics (median, mode, ...). Select this option to display the Descriptive Statistics dialog box. For more information, see Ordinal descriptive statistics.
OK Click the OK button to display a dialog box corresponding to the analysis selected on the Quick tab.
Cancel Click the Cancel button to close the Startup Panel without performing an analysis.
Options See Options Menu for descriptions of the commands on this menu.
Open Data Click the Open Data button to display the Select Data Source dialog box, which contains options to choose the spreadsheet on which to perform the analysis. The Select Data Source dialog box contains a list of the spreadsheets that are currently active.
Select Cases Click the Select Cases button to display the Analysis/Graph Case Selection Conditions dialog box, which contains options to create conditions for which cases will be included (or excluded) in the current analysis. More information is available in the case selection conditions overview, syntax summary, and dialog box description.
W Click the W (Weight) button to display the Analysis/Graph Case Weights dialog box, which contains options to adjust the contribution of individual cases to the outcome of the current analysis by "weighting" those cases in proportion to the values of a selected variable.
