GLM Results
Click the OK button in the GLM Quick Specs dialog box to display the GLM Results dialog box, which may contain eight tabs: Quick, Summary, Means, Comps, Profiler, Resids, Matrix, and Report. Note that this dialog box will also be displayed when you click the OK (Run) button in either the GLM Analysis Wizard Between Design dialog box, the GLM Analysis Wizard Extended Options dialog box, or the GLM Analysis Syntax Editor.
The Quick tab is used to produce summaries of the main results, for example, ANOVA tables, parameter estimates, etc. The Summary tab is used to produce additional summaries of the main results, for example, ANOVA tables, parameter estimates, R-square, descriptive statistics, etc. The Means tab is used to compute (1) observed unweighted means, (2) observed weighted means, and (3) least squares (predicted) means; tables of marginal means can be displayed in spreadsheets, or summarized in graphs (with or without confidence intervals). The Comps tab is used to test specific hypotheses about linear combinations of (least squares) means (planned comparisons). The Profiler tab is used to compute and display desirability profiles for combinations of multiple variables. The Resids tab is used to compute predicted values and detailed residual statistics (e.g., residual, deleted residuals, Mahalanobis distance, leverage values, DFFITS values, etc.). The Matrix tab is used to review various matrices involved in the computations of the main results, as well as detailed collinearity statistics and partial and semi-partial (or part) correlations. Finally, the Report tab is used to send results to a report.
- More results
- Click the More results button to display the
GLM More Results dialog box, which contains additional tabs and options.
Modify. Click the Modify button to display the previous dialog box for the respective analysis (see Methods for specifying designs). You will then be able to modify the current analysis.
- Close
- Click the Close button to close the current results dialog box and return to the
General Linear Models (GLM) Startup Panel.
Options. Click the Options button to display the Options menu.
- By Group
- Click the By Group button to display the By Group specification dialog box.
Note: balanced ANOVA option. If you select Huge balanced ANOVA from the GLM Startup Panel - Quick tab, or specify SSTYPE=BALANCED in the GLM syntax, then several advanced options are not available on the results dialog (due to the computational shortcuts employed in order to efficiently analyze huge balanced designs; see also Balanced ANOVA in the Introductory Overview for details).
