DDE Link Types

There are several types of DDE Links. The Manage DDE Links dialog box displays the link type abbreviation to the left of each link. See the table below for a complete list of the abbreviations and corresponding definitions.

Abbreviation/Name Definition
D/Disabled Link Link is currently disabled. See Disabling a Link.
A/Automatic Update Link Link is updated automatically.
M/Manual Update Link Link must be updated manually.
MD/Manual Update, Disabled Link Link must be updated manually, but is currently disabled.
AD/Automatic Update, Disabled Link Link is updated automatically, but is currently disabled.
