Nonlinear Estimation - Results

Purpose of Nonlinear Estimation

Element Name Description
OK Click the OK button in the Model Estimation dialog box to display the Nonlinear Estimation Results dialog box, which contains four tabs: Quick, Advanced, Residuals, and Review. Use the options in this dialog box to review a summary of the selections that you have made in previous dialogs and to selectively review the results of the analysis.
Summary box The Summary box at the top of the dialog box displays a summary of your choices for the regression analysis, i.e., the regression model, dependent variable, loss function; proportion of variance accounted for by the model, R, number of 0s and 1s, independent variables, and final value.
Copy button Click the Copy button to copy either the selected text (if text has been selected) in the Summary box or all of the text (if no text has been selected) to the Clipboard. Note that the copied text retains formatting information (such as font, color, etc.).
Contract/Expand button Click the Contract/Expand button to contract or expand the Summary box. When contracted, you can see only one line of the Summary box text and can scroll through the text using a scroll bar. Note that when contracted the text is scrolled so that the first non-blank line is at the top. When expanded (the default setting), the entire Summary box will be displayed.
Summary Click the Summary button to create a spreadsheet containing the parameter estimates for the current model. Summary statistics for the current analysis will be displayed in the spreadsheet header.
Cancel Review your choices for the regression model in the Summary box (see above), and if they are not appropriate, click the Cancel button to return to the previous dialog box in order to make changes.
Options Click the Options button to display the Options menu.

Note. Generalized Linear/Nonlinear Model (GLZ). You can also use the Generalized Linear/Nonlinear Model (GLZ) module to analyze continuous, binomial, or multinomial dependent variables. GLZ is an implementation of the generalized linear model in which you compute a standard, stepwise, or best subset multiple regression analysis with continuous as well as categorical predictors, and for continuous, binomial, or multinomial dependent variables (probit regression, binomial and multinomial logit regression, Poisson regression, etc.; see also Link functions).
