Mark (Selected Cells) Button
Click the button to add the selected cells to the set of all marked cells (i.e., the Marked Cells spreadsheet layout is applied to the selected cells) in the spreadsheet. Any previously marked cells remain marked. See Spreadsheet Layouts for further details.
Cells marked by STATISTICA. Many procedures in STATISTICA automatically mark specific cells or blocks in spreadsheets in order to "highlight" some results (e.g., unusually high frequencies in a frequency table, statistically significant correlation coefficients in a correlation matrix, or statistically significant effects in an ANOVA table of all effects). For example, in the following spreadsheet, note that (among others) the correlation between POP_CHNG and PT_POOR and between POP_CHNG and PT_PHONE are shown in red indicating significance at p<.05.
Such spreadsheets usually offer an option to change the criterion used to select the cells to be highlighted (e.g., the p-value for correlation coefficients) via the analysis definition dialog. For example, the Options tab of the Product-Moment and Partial Correlations dialog contains an option for specifying the p-value for highlighting in results spreadsheets.
Highlighted values in the Graph Data Editor. The Graph Data Editor is a special type of spreadsheet associated with each graph, which contains the specific values displayed in the graph. The values highlighted in that Editor (i.e., displayed in a different color) are those that are selected using the interactive Brushing tool in the graph.
