Brushing Tool Button

Click the button to activate the brushing mode and display the interactive Brushing dialog. When this mode is activated, the cursor changes to a "gunsight-style" cross-hair  (several other brushes are also available, see the Brushing dialog). You can then highlight data points from the graph by clicking on them with the cross-hair (or enclosing them in the rectangle or lasso, or for 3D displays with a cube or a custom 3D slice).

STATISTICA features a comprehensive selection of brushing facilities, including a unique set of interactive tools to make precise selections of subsets in 3D displays using the simple mouse movements and a variety of tools for manipulation of data points on screen, as well as the management of brushed (selected) data points.
