Define Method of Factor Extraction - Descriptives Tab

Principal Components and Factor Analysis

Select the Descriptives tab of the Define Method of Factor Extraction dialog box to access options to review various descriptive statistics and/or perform multiple regression analyses with the selected variables. For information on defining the method of factor extraction, see either the Quick tab or the Advanced tab.

Review correlations, means, standard deviations

Click the Review correlations, means, standard deviations button to display the Review Descriptive Statistics dialog box, in which you can review various descriptive statistics and graphs or save the current correlation matrix in a matrix file.

Compute multiple regression analyses

Click the Compute multiple regression analyses button to display the Multiple Regression Analysis dialog box, which contains options to perform multiple regression analyses with the currently selected variables. Regression equations with up to 299 independent variables can be evaluated. Note that extensive options for multiple regression are available from the Multiple Regression option accessed from the Statistics tab or menu.
