Analysis of a Robust Design Experiment  and Accumulation Analysis Results - Optimum Eta Tab

Analyzing Taguchi Designs

Select the Optimum eta tab of the Analysis of a Robust Design Experiment dialog or the Accumulation Analysis Results dialog to access options to specify details about eta.

Eta under optimum conditions
Click the Eta under optimum conditions button to display an interactive spreadsheet for predicting Eta given specific settings (levels) of some or all factors. This option is useful for designing and evaluating verification experiments (Introductory Overview). The expected S/N ratio is displayed in the last line of the spreadsheet.
Pool some effects
Select the Pool some effects check box to select terms to pool into the error term (SS residual). When this check box is first selected the Select effects to be pooled dialog will open. Select the terms which should be pooled and click OK. The ANOVA summary table will then be adjusted accordingly. You can also display the Select effects to be pooled dialog by clicking on the Select button.
Set selected factors at specific levels
Select the Set selected factors at specific levels check box to specify your own factor settings.  When this check box is first selected the User-Defined Factor Settings dialog will open allowing you to specify your own factor settings. You can also display the User-Defined Factor Settings dialog by clicking on the Select button.
