Analysis of a Robust Design Experiment
Click the OK button on the Design & Analysis of Taguchi Robust Design Experiments dialog to display the Analysis of a Robust Design Experiment dialog (if you have chosen to analyze a robust design via the Problem type box on the Analyze design tab). This dialog contains five tabs: Quick, Design, ANOVA, Means, and Optimum eta.
- Summary box
- The Summary box displays the characteristics of the basic design including the factors, number of runs, dependent variables, type of problem, and signal-to-noise ratio.
- Copy button Click the Copy button to copy either the selected text (if text has been selected) in the Summary box or all of the text (if no text has been selected) to the Clipboard. Note that the copied text retains formatting information (such as font, color, etc.).
- Contract/Expand button Click the Contract/Expand button to contract or expand the Summary box. When contracted, you can see only one line of the Summary box text and can scroll through the text using a scroll bar. Note that when contracted the text is scrolled so that the first non-blank line is at the top. When expanded (the default setting), the entire Summary box will be displayed on the Results dialog.
-
Summary. Click the Summary button to display an interactive spreadsheet with the ANOVA summary table. The specific MS residual in this table is used subsequently in the summary Plot of means on the Analysis of a Robust Design Experiment - Quick tab to establish confidence intervals. Options for adding interactions and pooling terms are available on the ANOVA tab. Note that the choices made on that tab affect the Plot of means.
