Analysis of a Robust Design Experiment - ANOVA Tab
Select the ANOVA tab of the Analysis of a Robust Design Experiment dialog to access options to view the ANOVA results.
- Summary: Analysis of variance
- Click the Summary: Analysis of variance button to display an interactive spreadsheet with the ANOVA summary table. The specific MS residual in this table is used subsequently in the summary Plot of means on the Analysis of a Robust Design Experiment - Quick tab to establish confidence intervals. Therefore, the choices for pooling effects and adding an interaction will affect that plot. These options are described below.
- Pool some effects
- Select the Pool some effects check box to select terms to pool into the error term (SS residual). When this check box is first selected the Select effects to be pooled dialog will open. Select the terms which should be pooled and click OK. The ANOVA summary table will then be adjusted accordingly. You can also display the Select effects to be pooled dialog by clicking on the Select button.
- Add an interaction
- Select the Add an interaction check box to add a specific two-way interaction effect to the ANOVA summary table. When this check box is first selected, the Select 2 factors for interaction dialog will open allowing you to pick the two-way interaction to add to the model. You can also display the Select 2 factors for interaction dialog by clicking on the Select button.
- Means for interaction
- Click the Means for interaction button to display a spreadsheet with the means for the interactions specified via the Add an interaction option (above). It is only available when an interaction has been specified.
